Until middle school I always wore briefs, or "tighty-whities". Then in middle school I changed to boxers because of peer pressure in gym class. Now as I am about to graduate high school, I am starting to shift to string bikinis and thongs. They are so much more comfortable and fit easily under everything especially "european" cut pants. I also am still at high school but I think that if you prefer to go without underwear you should not be afraid to change for PE when you are commando. Me and two other boys in my PE class NEVER wear underwear. Nothing is ever said. I think that the other boys are too busy getting ready for PE or dressing again afterwards to notice or care. I think that my preferrence for going comando comes from my grandpa who was a coal-miner telling me that when he was kid none of the boys in his mining village EVER wore underpants until they were old enough to start work and even then a lot of them - gramps included -did not wear them.
