In the process of experimenting, I have tried both shaving and nair. I have several friends that nair their entire pubic region and swear by it. I have tried this twice and have come to suspect they may be missing out on some the more pleasurable sexual sensations, because based on my experiences all I can say is, “OUCH!!!!!” The occasional nick of a razor just doesn’t compare to the burn. For those of you have never gone smooth, I recommend you trim the hair down to stubble length with a beard trimmer or electric hair clippers (use the shortest guard/guard position). If you don’t have either of these then trim the hair as short as you can w/ a pair of scissors. While you can simply soak your pubic hair using a warm, wet rag, I recommend jumping into a nice warm bath right about now. The warm water will soften the hairs. Hopping into a tub of bath water will keep your balls loose and easy to shave, all the while make it easy to rinse the razor between strokes. Before you begin shaving, cover your genital area generously with shaving gel/shaving cream. Rinse your blade after every stroke or two and make sure to have an extra razor/blade or two on hand as the last thing you want scratching against your genitals is a dull blade. I further recommend you shave everything else before you shave your shaft. This is in part because the touch of the razor on your pubes and balls may be enough to cause your cock to become partially or fully erect. No matter when you shave your shaft, you will want it at least semi-hard. ------

Let me make a short side note here: I highly recommend allowing a partner to shave you even if it's just once; it’s great foreplay and bonding time. Afterwards there is no better way to test for absolute smoothness than your partners tongue. -------

Finally, when it comes to maintenance, I find it most helpful to shave at least every 2-3 days during my morning shower. That and some powder keep the itching down to a minimum. Well I’ve waxed on long enough, time to go shave my crack.
