I think it comes with experiences in life. When I was a teen I had a wonderful relationship with my best friend. He was older then I. We would have sexual relationship, mostly masturbation, and oral sex. My first experience with a female was in the Navy. It was great. I have been married for many years. However, I still dreams of have a masturbation session with a understanding male. However, after having a bad friendship with one male, was enough for me. I'll never forget the guys I had sex with, or forget my best friend who left without saying goodby. I hope someday I can find a male that will understand my feelings.

ok. well after reading most of these responses I have concluded that it is not neccesarily genetic. you are just born that way. its your physical exp's. and your surroundings. I DO know it is definantly NOT a chioce. I have had a sexual exp with an older man(when I was like 6 or 7)and my oldest brother(when I was about 12-13 maybe).i think those shaped and molded my sexuality into what it is today. I tried to convince myself that I was str8. and that those things that happened to me when I was younger were just...."things". I was wrong. I have a very deep sexual passion for the male body and I long to do things with them, but I am more connected with females on an emotional level. so I guess I would rather just have guys as a play thing. but I would definantly marry a woman when the time came.

After denying it to myself for many years, I have come to grips with the fact that I am bisexual(I have tried hard to deny it for many years, though). I believe both genetics and environment play into this. I have always been highly sexual, dreaming about penises when I was in the first grade, etc. before I had a clue as to what sex was.I sucked my cousin's penis about that time, just from instinct--still not knowing what sex was and having no instruction or observations about it. My family environment was repressive, in terms of sex. My father was an insane tyrant and I had a terrible relationship with him in every way. When he caught me masturbating or whenever I had an erection, he would humiliate me. My mother was aware I masturbated and she embarassed me. There was no loving instruction or understanding in my family about sex, although my natural interest in sex gave them plentry of appropriate openings. I had mutual masturbation with friends when I was a teenager.My first real masturbation was performed on me by a neighbor and he really taught me how to jerk off. If he had sucked me and taught me how, I probably would have reciprocated with him at the time--I was 13. I have lived most of my life as a heteosexual and had a lot of great sex with women when it was available. Ninety-nine percent of all the sex I have ever had is with women. But, I sucked my rooomate's dick when I was in college when he was asleep and drunk; as far as I know, he was not aware of it--he never revealed it if he knew. Another disasterous event happened to me in college which has heavily influenced my life. I got drunk with a friend who was spending the night at my pad. He had a big, really nice looking penis which was uncut. As I said, we were both drunk and consequently I was uninhibited. I just really got horny and I wanted that nice dick in my mouth. I made the mistake of revealing to him that I was bisexual and I hit on him. He angrily rejected me and later told other friends about it and I was oztracized because of that. That was the last time I had any sex with a man; I have been married for many decades and from time to time have had some pretty good sex with my wife (also,spectacular sex during a six month affair with another woman). But, that is in the past because she no longer has any interest in sex. If I had a good, close friend that I knew that I could absolutely trust, I would like to able to masturbate with him and mutally suck each other off. But trust would be essential because I could not risk another situation like I had in college with the guy who betrayed me. Because of marriage, family and careers, I have repressed all over of this all my life. I wish I had a close male friend with whom I could suck. I am not interested in "love" with him; just the physical acts.

I am a bisexual male. This was determined at the moment the sperm and egg made my first cell. You see, a lot of people have their theories, but that is really all they are. How many have actually tested their theories to see if they were valid or not? I have, over the course of a good 25 years, and found it to be fully validated. The first sex I had was at age 14 with a 13 year-old friend of mine. I basically seduced him and we wound up sucking each other off. I continued with 3 other friends over the course of the next 3 years and then stopped as my interest in women became paramount. I had a lot of girlfriends, great sex and did not think about homosexual situations until I was 40 years old. Coincidentally (not really) this was when I first began to explore chat rooms on the Internet. Within about 6 months of this exploration, I discovered all the rooms, including the ones for "bi-married-men". Once there I found my past comming back to me. It was at this point that I realized that I wasn't just a "straight guy" looking for occasional blow jobs or to give them from/to men, but I wanted more. In answer and/or support of others, yes, the environment plays/ed a part. Had the Internet not come around, and with it the ability to anonumously talk to anyone with any story, I probably never would have re-discovered my forgotten half. The fact is, I was always bisexual and am turned on equally by a good looking male or female. So what I am saying is you do not decide who or what you like. Whether someone is straight, gay, bisexual or any variation therof, it has been determined by your genes. There have been too many studies that show this to be true. Uncles and nephews show a statitically higher incidence of homosexuality (my nephew is gay). I had a close gay friend in college. I met him through my girlfriend (now my wife of over 25 years). We were friends and nothing more. He wasn't great looking, or at least not to me anyway. All I can say is he had been approached by a girl who wanted to have him make love to her for no reason except that she knew he was gay. These women are not too common but commonly referred to as "Fag-Hags". There was no way my friend was going to do this; until I spent 3 hours convincing him that he might enjoy it and should. To make a long story short, he took her up on the offer, went to her house that weekend and watched her remove her bathrobe. She was totally naked under it. She went over to him, began to hug and kiss him and then he got nausious and threw up on her floor. When he relayed this story to me, I made my first postulate that sexual orientation is a genetic and not an environmental influence. To further this idea, I should point out that he had a gay sister and heterosexual brother. I knew the parents as well and can tell you that there was nothing to do with the upbringing that could have played a factor. I am a physician and I can tell you that being a physician does not make anyone an expert on this topic. I do know that if you put 100 bisexual men with high intelligence into a room, they will all agree with what I have put forth. You need to see the world equally to understand it fully. That brings up my last point and this is something I am still theorizing about though 99% sure is correct. There are very, very few (under 1%)pure hetero or homosexual men or women. We are all genetically on a continuum. A guy may be 10%/90% and he will only perceive the 90%. At one point however, perception of the "other feeling" is felt. As for me, and I consider myself as rare as the pure one or the other, I believe I am 50%/50% or very close to it. Whether you buy my logic or not, I appreciate being able to share it.

I think it's a choice. You can love anyone, male or female, that I agree with. Sexual attraction is simply a form of habit, you focus on one or ther other or both. Simple as that. Personally, I find I can get really turned on by gay porn, but it's only the sexual pleasure I care about. Same with women. However, I choose to focus myself on women, because I think children are important, and the natural chemistries of the two sexes usually balance each other out better. I firmly believe you can say that you perfer once sex, because you just can't love the other. It's just lusting for sexual pleasure that differentiates it, and the habit you have built up for lusting for a specific sex.
