I believe I left the realm of childhood and started my journey into manhood when I had my first orgasm. I somehow knew that I was no longer a child.

I think that a boy becomming a man begins with puberty and the ensuing physical maturation process. To be philisophical a boy becomes a man when he begins to take the responsibility of being a man. I think that when a man accepts himself for who he is and determines whattype of person he wants to be.
I would tell a very young man to be the best person he can be. His sexuality is such a tiny part of what makes him who he is.
My advice: Don't be in such a hurry to become a man. Sex and Adulthood is complicated enough, but would be more so when ur really young.

I beleive a boy becomes a man when he ejaculates for the first time, showing that he is able to create a baby, and start a family.
Physically a boy becomes a man at puberty but maturity is the rest of it. As far as advise goes, I would suggest they sew their wild oats and get that out of the way so when they marry they will have a better chanch of settling down. I didn't and did it after marriage. Taught my childred that masterbation was natural and not to feel guilty. I don't know if they ever had any homosexual contact other than I know that one of my sons friends taught him to masterbate. They donot know that I tend to be bisexual. My wife does know as she caught me blowing one of my friends. We have discussed this completely and she is accepting of it. Although she is 100% streight.

A boy becomes a man pysically when he ejaculates for the first time. Mentally, probably when he learns how to make some money, and support a family.
I think a boy becomes a man when he realizes his responsibilities. it is nothing to do with when you first orgasm, I did not achieve an orgasm until I was almost seventeen but I had because of my mother being seriously ill had to take on family responsibilities way before I could masturbate to shoot spunk.

Unlike these folks' opinions mine is that, a boy gets self-confidence that he CAN make a man when he digged and successfully mined own ejaculation out from own body with heavenly pleasure, and then feel ACTUALLY made a man when got married and successfully intercoursed, and in addition, PROVEN when got a baby pregnanted and born. It is yet a basic feeling (in my culture (Japan)) that man is not yet a man, woman is not a woman, unless/until he or she gains at least one or more child, to whom he and she (can, must) share 100% social responsibility. Unmarried old boy is just a wanking boy forever. Sorry.
It's different for each individual. There is no particular event. It is a gradual process - physically and emotionally. In terms of the sexual side of becoming a man, I would advise a boy to ask questions about sex and not be ashamed of his feelings.
A boy is physically becoming a man when he's going through puberty and ejaculates. At this point he is able to create children. But he is not truly a man until he accepts responsibility and is comfortable with who they are.
I think that physically a boy becomes a man when he ejaculates for the first time, through nocturnal emission, masturbation, or sexual intercourse.
i think that a man is a term that boys and/or guys spend their entire lives in search of. I believe that we feel that we are only able to call ourselves man when we have reached that ideal that we hold ourselves to. only when we have accomplished what we wanted to get out of life, when we can look back at our life and say i've done all I could do, and i've done my best. That, I believ, is when one becomes a man. masturbation, sex, ejaculation, are all tools or experiances that one encounters on your sojourn towards manhood

A boy becomes a man physically when his penis and balls are developed enough to produce and ejaculate sperm and when he also has grown hair around the base of the penis. However, this varies male to male. A boy becomes a man mentally, morally and spiritually when he can handle his load of responsibilities without having to be harped on to take care of matters and when he learns to show proper respect for others and treats others as he wants to be treated.
I think that a boy can become a man at anytime, physically or mentally. If you would consider it a physical trait that determines when a boy becomes a man, then it can happen around the teen years, sometimes in the late teens, or even some men were given the gift of going threw puberty early, if you consider it as a gift. Mabey it is a coming of age or maturity that determines it, but a male doesn't stop growing until they are at least 20. It could change a man by their wisedom and mental maturity, or the physical traits that give a guy confidence. I strongly encourage parents to not be around the bush about pubery and masturbation, it can be shocking to a kid if they haven't been exposed to it yet, if you don't want to talk to your kid about it, I recomend jackinworld.com, this is a great website with alot of info about male masturbation and puberty, it can be very helpful to you or your teen, it has great techniques to try, helpful info for ur teen, ect. It is great for u and ur kid!
I think a boy becomes a man when he is confident with what he has and he ejaculates through, nocturnal emmisons, or masterbation. I taught my kids masterbationa and how to be confident with themselvs.
i belive that a boy becomes a man after he fisrt ejaculates and also when he mentally matures and becomes more independant

I think it's a combination of many things - age, mind set and what makes the man. Guys start to masturbate at an early age, but that does not make them a man. The maturity to take resposibility for your actions does the trick. Any advice I would give would be to go easy on yourself, know who you are, don't be afraid to experiment sexually with yourself or others. Gender makes no difference. It's who you are as a person and what you do is what counts.
I disagree with the person that said that they become a man when they can take on responsibility without being harped on, b/c some people never grow out of that.
Becoming a man has everything to do with how your treat people; the dignity you carry with you, and the sudden desire to become resposible for your actions. It has nothing to do with orgasams, pubic hair and balls.
A boy becomes a man by a slow process. First, as a boy learns to take on more and more responsibility for his actions. A maturing boy takes on more concern for the well being of others - perhaps first for his fmaily members, but later for others outside his immediate family.
More and more, a young child can see, and feel the effect his actions have on others, and little by little will take pleasure in maximizing the happines of himself and others - and not focus on just maximizing his own pleasure.
As the balance shifts toward an equal concern for his own well being as well as for the well being of others , a child becomes a man.
A male's first encounter with sex can fit in at any time in this process. And being so powerful and so overwhelming, sex can also accelerate, or disrupt, or disrail, or slow down this maturing process.
You are a man by what you hold in your heart toward yourself and others.

1. It depends on the boy. I think there's not a time to become an adult.
2. In my own case, I think it was when my friends and I stopped playing with child games (madelmans, Playmobil's clicks and so) and get into more adult entertainment. About 12 years old.
3. Oh, yes! You begin to discover things, to wonder about life and death, sex and love, future and past...
4. If you feel yourself still as a boy, enjoy your childhood while you can, because it's the BEST period of one's life, without any doubt. If you feel yourself as a man yet, be cautious, discover the world with your friends but don't forget your family. And always try to learn new things... but being a reasonable man.
I think a boy becomes a man when he first notices he has had an ejaculation through jaking off or a wet dream.
A boy physically becomes a man when he starts shaving, ejaculating, voice changes, etc. However there is much more to it than that. The reality of becoming a man has to do with maturity. Just because his body becomes able to procreate, he isn't really a MAN until he is mature enough to accept the responsibilities that are the REAL test of manhood.
I believe You aaaare no longer a child but a man when you have passed that first ejaculation and orgasm stage. Of course puberty is one but you can go throught puberty without having a orgasm so people can argue that it is puberty that determins this.
It seems to me (age 64 now) that there is no defining moment, but rather a gradual process of awareness and physical maturbation. And while there is no real hurry, there is at least a need to be aware by ones early teens of the responsibility towards others that ultimately defines manhood. Young 'men' will always be risk takers and observing that behaviour is a good indication in many boys of approaching manhood. Helping them deal with it responsibly may help to allow them to reach adulthood safely!
But nothing in what I just said explains why so many of us sail into manhood ignoring every convention, danger, and any consideration of others. So maybe we should just measure testosterone levels and when it reaches a particular level declare the boy a man!

A boy becomes a man when he is able to have intercourse and to procreate. But he must wait till he will be able to asume this responsablity too.
I think a there are two ways a boy becomes a man. The first part is when busts a nut for the first time. The second part is when he becomes mature enough to raise a family, and by raise a family I mean actually take care of the family not just have kids and run. The big change will come when this child accomplishes all the things mentioned above. I would give a very young man the advise that it is ok to masterbate and explore your body even starting at a really young age. This will help avoid sexually transmitted diseases and hopefully early pregnancy. A young man should know that it is wrong to start a family and not be man enough to take care of it. I truly believe that knowing all this proves manhood.
If it is a matter of pubic hair and knowing what sexually attracts one, I knew by 6th grade and went after one fellow classman who reminded me of my first cousin and his intrsducing me to the excitement of touching a body, even if not his cock (I still like asses and sex from the back, love to hold a man from the back with body-to-body contact). I pursued him relentlessly and he gave in happily for two years. I hated to graduate, because he left the area with his family, but there were plenty of others, many older, who lipked my ministrations. Maturity has never entirely been mine until very recently, if it encompasses being sexually responsible, as I think it does. My advice: find the responsibility early: be monogamous; experiment together and only with one another.
I think the time when a boy becomes a man is when he realizes that life isnt as simple as it seems. there is more to life then just having life and playing games; you have responsibilities you will need to take in order to live in society today. I think also that one major thing that may cause a boy to realize he is a man is when he experiences his first orgasm and learns to masturbate. this ability that guys are given will e the joy you will experience for the rest of your life. you will realize more about your body and start asking questions about everything that is changing. I give this as advice for a very young man is to accept your body because you are given it once and should enjoy it to ur fullest extent. dont worry everything that is changing is just normal.
A boy becomes a man when he hits puberty, that would be a physcial man, not an emotional man. When a man starts to cum and has the potential to create another human he is physcially a man. But a person has much to learn before he is a man emottionally.
