031 Q:   My sister told me that her husband almost never ejaculates when they have sex, although he will stay hard for an hour. He says it is okay with him. He gets mad when she wants to talk about it. How can this be normal and okay? It seems very disturbing on a number of levels.
A: There could be any number of things going on. Drugs, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, can affect ejaculation. However, lack of ejaculation can also be a psychological issue. Many other circumstances can affect this complex issue. Even though most men do desire ejaculation, I can tell you that it is definitely possible for a man to feel sexually satisfied without ejaculation. It really depends on his circumstances that only he knows about.

032 Q:   I know that a lot penises are bent to the right or left. But mine is bent down. Can I have normal sex?
A: Yes, down is just as common as other directions.

033 Q:   I have this bump on my penis where my pubic hair is growing its been there for about 3 months and it hasn't gone away. It's only 1 bump and I'm wondering if it will ever go away
A: Sorry, but I am not sure. If it continues to be a concern for you, you would have to have an exam by a doctor.

NAME:   scared-to-death
034 Q: I have blood in my semen what would cause this?
A: Several things can cause it. It could be a urinary tract / uro-genital infection. If you have had a recent medical procedure (such as a prostate biopsy), there can be blood in the semen also. If you encounter any pain or if the blood lasts more than a day or so, see a doctor for a urine test.

NAME:   (Anonymous)
037 Q:   What is blue balls? How do you get them?
A: It's a slang term for the tension and mild pain that occurs from not having the release of ejaculation for a long time (usually days or weeks). Some men get this and others do not. I suppose the solution would be to ejaculate through masturbation or sex. However, other men that do not masturbate or have sex say they have nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) often enough that they do not get "blue balls".

041 Q:   I am 18 years old and I have not been circumcised. I was wondering if I should get this done and where do I go. I also am nervous that it will go wrong. What will happen?
A: Many men are never circumcised. If you want to get it done, it is a decision that has to be made with a doctor. However, there is nothing wrong with you just because you're not circumcised.

044 Q:   During sex and when I masturbate my semen is a dark color brown like color I'm 35 and I'm worried sick.
A: If it is yellowish-brown, there is really no problem because semen varies in color from clear or white or even dark yellow. But you have a pure medical question there. If it continues to bother you, what else can I say? Maybe..... see a doctor?

049 Q:   I used to be able to ejaculate pretty far, as in squirt out semen / sperm. Recently in the past year or so I haven't been able to squirt at all, it just slowly drips out and not much really comes out. I masturbate a lot more nowadays, about 1 time a day. I really wish I could ejaculate farther like I used to, but I don't know why I cant to it. I've tried PC but i'm not sure if i'm too young to do those. What can I do to ejaculate farther?
A: It's not really a problem if you cannot ejaculate far. Often it has to do with the consistency of the semen produced by the prostate gland, and this can change throughout your life time. Either way, a man can still be fertile. I wish I could ejaculate far too -- (just for the heck of it) but I usually don't. The Kinsey Institute made many research films of men ejaculating and it turned out most men were "dribblers" instead of "shooters".

054 Q:   My boyfriend has 1 bump at the base of his dick where the pubic hair starts growing. It cannot be an STD if it only 1 bump can it?

Medical questions -- If you experience pain; or if it doesn't go away in a few days, or a few weeks; or if it continues to bother you, you may wish to consult a physician in person or over the telephone.

057 Q:   I don't know if this is the right page to ask this question, but I'll try anyway. I recently had sex with a girl unprotected (three months ago) and since then have been feeling itchy, dryness on my penis. I got tested and everything came back negative. Some people, not my doctor who I will be visiting again to ask, think it might be a fungus/yeast/bacterial infection. The penis looks normal, but feels dry after I masturbate. Could I have gotten a fungus from a girl's vaginal juices? What can I do to fix it?
A: Medical question -- If you experience pain; or if it doesn't go away in a few days, or a few weeks; or if it continues to bother you, you may wish to consult a physician in person or over the telephone.

061 Q:   What do you suggest some one does when he wants to see a doctor about a problem but the only way to get to the doctors is to have your mom bring you and you don't want them to know about it because you are embarrassed?
A: You might wish to call a doctor first by using the phone book. Secondly, if you are in school, you could ask the school nurse. Third, you could tell your mother that you you have a problem that is just way too private to discuss because it is a problem that only males could have and she needs to respect your privacy and do her duty and take her son to have a physical exam because it is a problem that she can not solve by herself.

053 Q:   You know how when you shave the base of your penis when the hair is growing back it can be sharp and hurt. Well I am wondering if this painful hair could break a condom and if I need to worry about this?
A: It is very unlikely that the hair could pierce a latex condom.
