339 Q:   On the top of my penis, next the the "eye" there's a brown patch. It has been there for as long as I can remember. I'm wondering if it is a birth mark? Is it possible to have a birthmark in such a place? It's not sore or anything, and it's not too big -- just a small brown patch.
A: It definitely could be a birth mark.
340 Q:   What is the importance of prostate massage? How is it done and how often should it be done?
A: I've never heard they are "important" for most men. Some men find them enjoyable if their sexual partner massages their prostate. But I don't think it is "important" unless there is some type of medical condition that requires the prostate to be examined, such as prostate cancer or an enlarged prostate. If it is done by a doctor for medical examination or treatment reasons, it takes less than a minute.

341 Q:   I am a 15-year old male, uncircumcised and masturbates once a day. Recently, I've been pulling back my foreskin far enough to see a build up of cream-coloured patches of little dots. I'm worried because I think I may get infected. I've tried washing it away in the bath and with sponges but it won't move. What should I do?
A: Sorry, I can't be sure what that is without seeing it. It could just be a build-up of smegma under the skin. If it does not go away or continues to be a concern for you, you should check it out with a doctor. You don't have to mention masturbation when you see the doctor because that is not the cause of what you have described.

342 Q:   I was only born with a penis, but no testies. I am now 17 and have started a full on relationship with a girl. But when we have sex or she blows me off she cant help but laugh. She says if I ever betray her, she will tell all my friends and her friends.
A: Have you ever seen a doctor about your testicles? There is not enough information here for me to advise you what do do. The girl sounds like a cunning partner. You might want to break up with her as soon as possible if she is threatening you or holding you to ultimatums. If she tells people, you could say she is lying. I'm not sure what else to say. But I do feel sorry for you being in that situation with a girl like that.

343 Q: I am 15½ and signs of puberty that aren't there... I mean no pubic hair, no underarm hair my testicles haven't dropped, and I still have a small childs weiner. What would a hormonal treatment involve; blood tests? skin samples? This is a major concern of mine as I am interested in girls, but when I get into a relationship and things start to get sexual, I say it doesn't feel right... and then I get dumped!
A: (1) A hormone test consists of a blood sample. Hormone treatment usually involves the use of a patch that you stick to the skin (often on the shoulder or just below the waist). Sorry, I have no further information on this topic. You'll need to ask a medical doctor for more information. My degree is in the psychological realm rather than the medical realm. (2) If you get in a relationship with a girl and she dumps you because it is taking you longer to grow than other guys, she is definitely not the right woman for you anyway. A true loving partner would be caring and understanding, and you will find her someday even though it might not seem like it right now.

344 Q:   When I get an erection, my penis points straight up (vertically). I mean... towards my face. When I try to bend it to horizontal, it does go with some force but springs back to the vertical position immediately as soon as I ungrip it. Someone told me that this a real problem, and I will not able to have normal sex as my vertical penis will not make it into the vagina. Also, is there a surgical solution where the skin that attaches my penis shaft to the body needs to be cut?
A: I seriously doubt you need surgery. Some penises point straight up, while others point straight out (horizontal), and others point downwards. Others bend to the left, and others bend to the right. These are all natural penile variations. I don't think you have anything to worry about at all. Penises that point in any of these directions can penetrate a vagina. Every man has to work with their sexual partner to find a comfortable position to have sex, depending on their penis directions and dimensions.

345 Q:   My right testis is more than twice as big as the left, what could be the reason? It`s not painful, just bigger than usual. And I would like it smaller. What can I do?
A: If it is truly twice as big, you may want to have a doctor check it.

346 Q:   I was recently diagnosed with prostatitis, but it's nothing serious: although caused me some pain, I've been given some Cipro and later ibuprofen to clear up any possible infection and reduce pain. However, I've noticed that, even now, my ejaculate is very viscous. Also, during sex, I cannot last as long as I used to, sometimes such that I ejaculate before my partner, and she can orgasm rather quickly. Is it possible that a swollen prostate could lead to temporary premature ejaculation, at least until it clears up completely? Sometimes I ejaculate without really experiencing a full orgasm, as it feels as though I'm so backed up with fluid that my body must expel it sooner than usual. Also, is premature ejaculation a psychological or physical problem? Can a man develop premature ejaculation later in life, even though it hasn't been a problem in his past? I'm incredibly attracted to my girlfriend, and I don't know if I'm simply too excited or if it's the prostatitis?
A: Unfortunately, I'm not a medical doctor. However, I can tell you that other men have experienced premature ejaculation as a result of prostatitis. A good starting point for research is the Prostatitis Foundation site.

347 Q: Does masterbation make your balls go lower?
A: No.

348 Q:   Is premature ejaculation a psychological condition or a physiological condition?
A: It could be either. The preferred primary treatment is the psychological method(s). If psychological methods do not work after a reasonable trial period, medicines can be prescribed (e.g., an SSRI medication such as Prozac or Paxil, or something else similar).
